NEW SUPPORT GROUP AT JEFFERSON BARRCKS FOR AMPUTEE 

ACES: AMPUTEE CARE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT GROUP 

We would like to share with you about an exciting support group that we will be starting for the veterans with amputees. We are very excited about this opportunity and are asking you to help us spread the word to meet our veteran’s needs and to make this group a success.  The group will be meeting the 1st Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm – 3:00pm  

Our 1st support group for persons with amputations is scheduled in May meeting as follows: 

Date:  Wednesday, May 6th, 2009
Time:  2:00 p.m. - 3:00 pm
Place:  Jefferson Barracks, Building 53/DINING ROOM/1st floor

The Second Annual Welcome Home celebration will be on May 30, 2009. The event will be at the Soldier's Memorial once again this year. If you would like to volunteer or register (any veteran is eligible to register) the necessary forms are included in this message.  Again this year we will have Service Organization, Job, VA, Educational Booths, free food, children's activities, a special medal presentation for our returning OEF/OIF veterans who have yet to receive this special medal.  All veterans will get a coin as well.  We will have prize giveaways; the Dave Glover Band will be providing entertainment.  The program will have a very special guest speaker as well as dignitaries who come to honor those who have served.  There will be displays from various organizations.
